If you are supplying your own material to be upholstered onto one of our headboards or beds, It will be critical to ascertain what the fabric\u2019s composition is prior to upholstery.<\/p>\n

Yet, it can be difficult as the abbreviations used on the labelling can often lead to confusion.<\/p>\n

Here is our easy to understand guide to natural and man made fibres most commonly found on the types of materials that we are sent for making into beds and headboards for our customers.<\/p>\n

All fabrics used to upholster beds and headboards must be supplied with a Fire Retardant Certificate\u00a0that states it has been treated for Domestic Use (BS5852 Cigarette & Match)<\/strong>;\u00a0the most cost efficient way for you to do this is with your fabric supplier, they will ensure that it is accompanied by the necessary certificates.<\/p>\n

If no certificate is supplied, we can arrange the treatment for you at a cost of \u00a325.00 per metre plus a \u00a330.00 postage and administration fee.\u00a0 Fabric treatment usually takes about 10 days and this may extend your delivery date by that amount. The minimum amount required for treatment in 3 consecutive metres of fabric.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, if your fabric has a composition that is 75% or more natural material, it may be possible to use an interliner.\u00a0 The interliner charge varies by size of headboard or bed from \u00a359.00 and we would need proof of the fabric composition when you send it to us.<\/p>\n

NB for a valance, the fabric need not comply with the above legislation.<\/em><\/p>\n
