
Our Delivery Team
Dawid and Dorota make up part of our very valued delivery crew. They are logistics and delivery experts. They run their own family business, DWServices, and operate UK wide.
Dorota handles the route planning and books in your delivery whilst Dawid makes the deliveries and assembles your items in your room of choice.
They are a dynamic duo … thoroughly lovely people and brilliant at helping Headboard Workshop customers.

*Free Delivery Conditions
Orders over £500 are delivered to one UK mainland address.
Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scottish Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man and The Channel Islands are excluded from our free delivery terms and conditions and are handled as international deliveries.
Delivery is made to the room of your choice up to and including the second floor where there is no lift available.
For floors above the second floor, a charge may be levied by DWServices for additional floors. This is not usually an issue if a lift is available. In the event that the delivery room is above the second floor and we have not been made aware beforehand, we will leave the goods with you for you to make your own arrangements.
Free delivery includes assembly of your order as detailed in the below section entitled ‘Assembly of your Clients’ Order’
How Deliveries Are Planned
Organising the delivery is the most challenging part of an order. There is a lot of work that goes into scheduling them. Your help in understanding the process will undoubtedly help you to manage your client’s expectations and make the arrangements seamless.
DWServices are a small family business. We always support local companies that we can build relationships with where we can. It is because of this, we trust Dawid and Dorota implicitly with our beautifully made products and to treat our customers well. Dawid may be the only member of our team that you/your client will actually meet!
When your order arrives on our system, Dorota will start to think about Dawid’s route accross the country. Orders are grouped by similar postcodes or drop-offs en route to conserve time, fuel and increase efficiency as part of our commitment to slowing climate change. Therefore, it is really important to tell us if any of the following apply that may affect your delivery. Please tell us as early as you can about:
- Delays in building work
- Problems with access including parking, consierge services, lift access
- Clients’ holiday dates during the production process
- The room of choice is above the second floor (additional fees may apply)
Please endeavour to accept the first delivery date Dorota offers you. She is often co-ordinating a chain of other customers.
Dorota works very hard to accomodate special delivery date requests where possible, however, a range of chargable services may be available to meet requests that fall outside of our free delivery terms and conditions.
Dedicated Deliveries
As standard, we are unable to accept any requests for a guaranteed delivery date or time slot.
Guaranteed specific delivery dates and times do not form part of our free delivery service.
Dorota always tries to help customers with special delivery requests where she can.
If you simply MUST have a guaranteed specific delivery day, Dorota will be able to provide you with a quote for this service depending on the delivery location.
Alternatively, you can arrange your own collection from our workshop by speaking with us directly.
Storage of Orders
We do not have any extra storage space at our workshop.
If you find you can not take delivery of your items within the alloted lead time, we can arrange delivery to an alternative address – perhaps a storage facility.
Letting us know of any delays early in our production process will give us a chance to defer final upholstery of your order to fit with your new timeline.
We do not like having beautiful items sat around in packaging – our pacakging is not designed for long term storage. Please understand that any damage caused in your own storage is entirely at your own risk.
Assembly of your Clients’ Order
We will deliver to the room of your choice (up to the second floor), unpack the order and assemble it.
Headboards with the fixing method ‘Plywood Moulded Struts’ will be mounted to the bed by Dawid.
Beds will be fully assembled.
All of our packaging will be taken away and reused or recycled as part of our eco policy.
We can not drill into customers walls to fit wall mounting packs or wall retaining brackets, this is a very simple DIY job.
NB: For rooms above the second floor, a charge per floor will be made if there is no accessible lift or service lift.

Fast Track Service

Our fast track service is a chargable service that sees your order with you within 10 working days from when we receive payment for your order and any COM materials you are sending us. This sevice is dependent on availability. Fast Track is costed at £100 for orders under £1000 and 10% of the total order value over £1000.
Please check with us beofre offering fast track to your clients and have the delivery address and your proposed order to hand.
International Shipping

We can ship internationally. We can provide two options:
1 – We will obtain a shipping quote for you. Please contact us and have the delivery address and your proposed order to hand.
NB: This is a kerbside delivery only and no assembly can be offered.
2. We can ship to a port or forwarding freight company of your choice so you can arrange its onward journey.
International/export orders are prepared VAT exempt. Taxes may apply when the items arrive in the destination country and are the responsibility of the customer receiving the goods.
